InquiryFlow helps travel agencies capture trip inquiries from website visitors. A floating button opens a short form; submissions land in your Inquiries inbox and trigger email notifications to your team.

This guide gets you running in about five minutes.

Requirements

  • WordPress 6.0 or newer
  • PHP 7.4 or newer
  • WP Travel Engine (recommended for trip pages and trip context in emails)

5-minute quick start

  1. Install and activate InquiryFlow — see Installation.
  2. Go to WordPress Admin → WP Travel Kit → InquiryFlow → Settings.
  3. Open Button & Display and confirm:
  • Button label — e.g. Plan My Trip
  • Show on WP Travel Engine trip pages — enabled
  • Show on blog posts and pages — as needed
  1. Open Notifications and set Admin notification emails to the addresses that should receive new inquiries.
  2. Click Send test notification to verify email delivery.
  3. Visit a trip page on the front end and click the floating button. Submit a test inquiry.
  4. Go to InquiryFlow → Inquiries and confirm the lead appears.

Step-by-step guide

Open the workspace

  1. Log in to WordPress admin.
  2. In the left menu, click WP Travel Kit.
  3. Click InquiryFlow.

You land on the Inquiries tab by default.

Complete the Setup Guide (optional)

  1. Click the Settings tab.
  2. In the left nav, click Setup Guide.
  3. Follow the checklist: button, notifications, consent, and spam settings.
  4. Click Mark setup complete when finished.

See Initial setup for full detail.

Review your first inquiry

  1. Open Inquiries.
  2. Click a row to open the detail panel.
  3. Change Status (New → Contacted → Booked → Closed) as you work the lead.
  4. Add an internal note for your team.

See Managing inquiries.

Tips

  • Enable WhatsApp in Settings if your team replies faster on chat — WhatsApp chat.
  • Place the button on specific pages with the InquiryFlow Button block even when global display rules are off.
  • Turn on hCaptcha before you go live if you expect spam — Spam and security.

Common mistakes

  • Forgetting to set Admin notification emails — defaults to the site admin email only.
  • Expecting a visitor thank-you email in Free — automated visitor replies require InquiryFlow Pro.
  • Looking for a delete button on leads — Free does not offer lead deletion in the inbox; use status Closed and data retention.
